Talk of the Town - Oakland, CA

So the lovely and talented lads and lasses over at the illustrious VULCAN studios in Oakland were ousted from their warehouse space, and have had to move Barbaras Cocktail Hour to a new locale. They're taking the Talk of the Town in Oakland for a test run on Friday nights. And they've done a pretty fine job of transplanting the laid back, professional, party atmosphere to the new upstairs spot. Yes, that's UPSTAIRS. Go around to the side entrance, otherwise the nazi doorman will charge you a cover.

These shows are free! Just tip the bartender nicely, eh?

Anyway, Vulcan is the live band webcast thingy that everyone is talking about, and if you haven't heard of it, then maybe you need bigger ears. They videotape the bands from multiple angles, they overlay kinky graphics onto your rockstar mugs and they give away gallon jugs of baked beans.

Thanks to y'all for giving us this very last minute show. We had a blast. And thanks to the peeps who came out to see us dogs get jiggy wit it. Not to flex, but dat shit was phat!
