Joel's Kitchen - San Francisco, CA
The Linoleum Sessions
Joel is a cool cat with a cool victorian in the Haight. He had a birthday party earlier this year that we played at too. But it was outside, and quite cold.
But this time, we all crammed into the kitchen for the Linoleum Sessions. I guess the party was going on all day, but Karen had to work until 6:00, so we caught the tail end of it.
So we got to see the Two Gallants play their last little gig before heading out on their second US tour in 4 months! It's always a joy to hear them up close and personal. And this was as personal as it gets.
We also heard David's band. They don't really have a name yet, but that night they were calling themselves the Lady Plumbers or something like that. Catchy, twangy pop with male/female vocals.
Then we wrapped up the night with our little fillmore setup. Tiny bass amp, tiny drums. Storm in a bottle.
Thanks Joel. It was a pleasure. And good luck to the Two Gallants. we'll miss ya!
