The Red & Black Cafe - Portland, OR
Brian and Dan were our gracious hosts at this cute indie co-op cafe in Portland. No one seemed to have heard of this place, but there was definitely a "scene" there. Music lovin' 20 somethings with a duty to the organic, and local grown food/bev. Little stage (I think it was an inch or so off the ground. Perhaps not. But definitely stage-ish). Little PA, but enough.
The cool thing about playing here, is that we got to ride the coattails of our friends in Terese Taylor (the band). Terese and Rob just happen to be touring at the same time as us, and we didn't have anything lined up in Portland. (why is it so hard?). So they asked if we'd like to play this place with them.
Yes!
Devin from Pinehurst Kids, and Sarah came down to see us play, and let us stay at their house afterwards. And Zoe from Seattle was in the neighborhood, and stopped in to say hello as well!
We had to play soft. But it was good practice. And no sense in killin' people at a coffee shop.
Thanks Terese and Rob. It was a pleasure. Thanks Devin, for your hospitality!
